Why daily inspection — Mobile crane

Mobile cranes pose rollover, cable failure, and power-line contact risks. The CSTC and CSA Z150 standards require a documented pre-operation inspection. Load charts must be legible and match the crane's configuration.

Hoist cables must be inspected for broken wires, flattening, and corrosion. Outriggers must be deployed on adequate bearing pads. The load moment indicator (LMI) must be checked before the first lift of the day.
