Why daily inspection — Dump truck
Dump trucks combine heavy-vehicle risks (traffic, braking) with lifting-equipment hazards (tip-over during dumping, overhead line contact). The SAAQ circle check and dump mechanism inspection are required before each shift.
Tip-over during dumping on uneven ground is a common risk. Operators must check ground stability, overhead lines, and body lock before raising. Hinges, cylinders, and safety pins must be inspected for wear and leaks.
