Risks and prevention — Exterior cladding
Siding and cladding installation at height exposes workers to falls, cuts from sharp materials, and wind hazards on large-surface panels. The CSTC requires fall protection on all scaffolds or lifts used for installation.
Cutting fibre cement panels can release silica dust. Wet cutting or tools with integrated dust collection are recommended. Workers must wear P100 respiratory protection when dry-cutting.
