Before work

Risks and prevention — Drywall and interior systems
Drywall and interior system installation exposes workers to musculoskeletal strain (4×12 sheets weigh up to 50 kg), falls from interior scaffolds, and dust from joint compound sanding. If the compound is presumed to contain silica, CSTC 3.25.6 governs respirators. A mask is not a named RSST joint-compound rule.
Drywall carts, board lifts, and rolling platforms reduce ergonomic risk. Suspended ceilings require structural capacity verification before installation and safe work-at-height access.
