(“we”, “our”), operator of the OK Sécurité application, is committed to protecting the privacy of its users in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Québec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25).

2. Information Collected

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information: name, email address, profile photo (via Clerk).
  • Usage data: completed checklists, inspection history.
  • Organization data: company name, team members, construction sites.
  • Payment data: processed directly by Stripe. We do not store your credit card information.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, anonymized analytics data (Vercel Analytics).

3. Use of Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide and improve the Service.
  • Manage your account and subscriptions.
  • Send notifications related to your activity (checklist completions).
  • Ensure security and prevent fraud.
  • Meet our legal obligations.

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We only share it with:

  • Service providers: Clerk (authentication), Supabase (database), Stripe (payments), Resend (email), Vercel (hosting and analytics), PostHog (product analytics).
  • Your organization: your checklist completions and reports are visible to the supervisors on your team.
  • Legal authorities: if required by law or to protect our rights.

5. Storage and Security

Your data is hosted on secure servers in Canada and the United States (Supabase, Vercel). We use encryption in transit (TLS) and strict access controls to protect your information.

6. Data Retention

We retain your information as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data will be deleted within 30 days, except for data required for legal or accounting obligations.

7. Your Rights

In accordance with applicable laws, you have the right to:

  • Access your personal information.
  • Correct inaccurate information.
  • Request the deletion of your data.
  • Withdraw your consent at any time.
  • File a complaint with Québec's Commission d'accès à l'information.

8. Cookies and Analytics

We use essential cookies for the operation of the Service (authentication, language preferences).

We also use the following analytics services, only with your consent:

  • Vercel Analytics: anonymized usage data (page performance, aggregated data). No third-party tracking cookies.
  • PostHog: product analytics to understand how the application is used and improve the experience. PostHog collects usage data linked to your account (pages visited, features used). This data is hosted in the United States. You can refuse this tracking via the cookie consent banner.

We may update this policy at any time. Significant changes will be communicated by email or via a notification in the application.
