Risks and prevention — Doors and windows

Door and window installation exposes workers to glass cuts, musculoskeletal strain from heavy frame lifting, and falls during upper-storey installation. The CSTC requires floor and wall openings to be protected against falls throughout the work.

Large windows often require vacuum lifting equipment or hoists. Coordination between interior and exterior crews is essential to prevent glass drops and crushing.
