Risks and prevention — Doors and windows
Door and window installation exposes workers to glass cuts, musculoskeletal strain from heavy frame lifting, and falls during upper-storey installation. CSTC 3.8.3 / 2.9 govern openings and falls. Protect voids while work is underway.
Large windows often require vacuum lifting equipment or hoists. Coordination between interior and exterior crews is essential to prevent glass drops and crushing.
