Check tires — pressure, wear, wheel nuts (all wheels)

Inspect wire ropes — broken strands, crushing, corrosionCritical

Inspect hook — throat wear, safety latch

Check boom sections — cracks, deformations, pins

Inspect outriggers — cylinders, pads, locking

Check hydraulic hoses and fittings — no leaks

Check fluid levels: hydraulic, engine, PTO

Load chart readable and in place in cabCritical

Headlights, lights, beacon and backup alarm functional

Fire extinguisher present, documents on board (license, SAAQ)

Start — engage PTO — check gauges

Test outriggers — full deployment and locking

Test winch — raise, lower, brake

Test boom telescoping and swing

Check rated capacity limiter (RCL)Critical

Test upper hook limit switch

Check horn and swing alarm
