Why daily inspection — Aerial lift
Aerial lifts are involved in numerous fall and tip-over incidents. CSA B354 and the CSTC require a documented pre-use inspection. Operators must check ground and platform controls, safety devices, base stability, and structural component condition.
Harness attachment to the basket anchor point is mandatory. Workers must never climb guardrails or use extensions to increase reach. Wind and power-line proximity must be assessed before each use.
