Before work

  • PPE worn: high-visibility vest, hard hat, safety shoes

  • Site plan reviewed — traffic zones and hazards identified

  • Equipment calibrated — total station, GPS RTK, level

  • Coordination with machine operators — signal before entering zone

  • Reference points (benchmarks) located and verified

  • Visual contact maintained with machine operators at all times

  • Never position between a wall and a moving machine

  • Stakes and markers clearly identified — colored tape visible

  • Data recorded and backed up regularly

After work

  • Stakes firmly driven — protected from accidental displacement

  • Data transferred and verified — layout report produced

  • Deviations reported immediately if out of tolerance
