Why daily inspection — Compactor and roller

Compactors and vibratory rollers operate in active traffic zones with often limited visibility. The CSTC requires a pre-operation inspection covering brakes, steering, vibration systems, and safety devices.

Ground vibration can affect nearby structures and underground utilities. Compaction force must be adapted to proximity of pipes and existing foundations. Operators must check for workers in the manoeuvring zone before each pass.
