Structural curtain walls, assembly and high-rise installation. Compliant with Québec's Construction Safety Code (CSTC) and CNESST standards.

Before work

  • PPE worn: hard hat, harness, cut-resistant gloves, glasses, safety shoes

  • Fall protection verified — harness, lanyard and anchor conformingCritical

    ℹ️ CNESST zero tolerance > 3 m — curtain walls = always at height

  • Installation plan and sequence reviewed

  • Panels and glazing inspected — no chips, cracks or defects

  • Mechanical or vacuum suction cups tested and charged

  • Weather checked — wind < 40 km/h for glazing installation

    ℹ️ Sail effect: wind + large panel = dangerous

  • Crane or hoist inspected if heavy panels

  • Panel mechanically secured BEFORE releasing suction cup

  • No worker under panel lifting zoneCritical

    ℹ️ Falling glazing = fatal risk — zone prohibited under lifting

  • Structural fasteners installed per engineer's plan

  • Weather seals installed progressively — no gaps left open

  • Glass offcuts picked up immediately — dedicated container

After work

  • Waterproofing verified — spray test if required

  • Temporary protection applied on glazing

  • Suction cups and tools cleaned and stored

  • Installation report completed (panel numbers, positions)
