Risks and prevention — Fence installation

Construction fence installation involves digging post holes (underground utility risk), handling sharp fencing rolls, and working near traffic. Underground utility locating via Info-Excavation is mandatory before any digging.

Temporary guardrails and site barricades must be strong enough to resist impacts and wind loads. The CSTC specifies minimum heights and required resistance for site perimeter protection.
